Bio
Catherine is an award-winning textile artist from Waikato, New Zealand. She paints and prints on recycled white fabrics using textile inks, paints, and other drawing mediums. Then, she machine quilts to add further texture with fine threads. Her work is very detailed, drawing the viewer in for a closer look. She is inspired by the details in nature and life that are often overlooked, invisible, or missed. Catherine expresses these ideas through deep and rich paintings of women and beautiful details in nature. Her quilting is bright, rich, dynamic, and exudes her soul and spirit.
